Shiromani Akali Dal leader and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia has not received any relief from the Supreme Court. His bail petition was heard in the Supreme Court today. Meanwhile, the government has sought time to file its reply. The government has sought two weeks. The court also raised questions about the danger Majithia had stated in jail. Now the next hearing of the case will be on February 2. It is worth mentioning that Bikram Majithia was arrested by the Punjab Vigilance from his residence in Amritsar on June 25 and brought to Mohali. He was sent to the New Jail in Nabha on July 6 after being kept on twelve days of police remand. Majithia has filed a petition in the Supreme Court for his bail and the country’s top court has sought a response from the Punjab government.
