The issue of vote theft has become the biggest issue of the country at the moment and should remain so. Till now, the Election Commission is on one side, and on the other side, all the opposition parties are protesting together. Rahul Gandhi directly named the BJP in this issue, saying, “The Election Commission is stealing votes for the BJP.” As soon as he heard this, the Election Commission, BJP, IT cell and the media sold to them are busy extinguishing the fire of vote theft. Emphasis is being placed on the fact that there is no power in Rahul Gandhi’s words. The Election Commission has not made any mistake. If we look at the last 10 years, the opposition has never raised such a big issue that the government should be put in the dock. The helpless government, despite lakhs of efforts, could not suppress this issue. Suddenly one day, Rahul Gandhi holds a press conference and the data of the Lok Sabha for the year 2024 is shown. Many ridiculous things become a topic of discussion among people, when it is found that one crore new voters were added in Maharashtra in just five months. Forty thousand nine voters were found to have fake addresses. Thousands of people were told that their house number was zero. Ten and a half thousand voters were found to have the same address. Eighty people were shown living in one room. And surprisingly, 140 voters were shown to have the same father. Apart from this, Rahul Gandhi revealed many more things. Here, a question also arises for Rahul Gandhi that why the investigation that you are doing now was not done earlier? Voter list is given to all parties during elections, then why was this issue of fake documents, lists without photos, or multiple votes from one name etc. not looked into earlier? So much was happening under your nose and why did you not pay attention? By the way, Rahul Gandhi has started the ‘Vote Adhikar Yatra’ in Bihar and this has become a big issue in Bihar.
The Election Commission is not giving a responsible answer on this issue but a childish one. Rahul Gandhi demanded CCTV footage but the Election Commission said what will Rahul Gandhi do after seeing this footage? It will take thirty-six hundred years to see. Election Commission Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, who is a highly educated person, who has done his graduation from IIT Kanpur, studied from Harvard. He has also cleared the IAS paper, his answer was confusing. He said that we cannot show CCTV footage because it is a privacy issue. It is a question of our daughter-in-laws. How can we show the footage of daughter-in-laws in front of the entire country? The entire country is shocked to hear this, but on the one hand they collect data through Aadhaar card. Even the income tax rules have been changed, if the government suspects tax evasion, then we have nothing to do with your privacy. We can touch the very core of your social media, email, Facebook, i.e. your privacy. There is no privacy for all this, but the Election Commission is expressing concern about the daughters-in-law. Gyanesh even said that Rahul Gandhi should apologize to the country on this issue. There is no basis for these allegations. What happened in the past is done, talk about now. The Supreme Court is also fulfilling its responsibility in this whole issue. The Supreme Court has demanded complete data from the Election Commission. The Election Commission has also asked the reason for the deletion of the voter lists. The Supreme Court has also said that till September 1, those people in the lists whose people were proven dead or deleted can get their voter cards again by filling Form 6. Aadhaar card is mandatory in Form 6, this is the same proof that the Election Commission refused to accept. This is a kind of rebuke to the Election Commission by the Supreme Court. In fact, the Election Commission should have shown some seriousness, taken the complaint and carried out an investigation while fulfilling its responsibility, but they talked like a spokesperson for the BJP. Although the Election Commission held a press conference last Sunday and proved that we are also working and we are answering the questions raised, but the result was that the allegations made proved stronger from the discussions.
The BJP has been accused of hacking EVMs for a long time, but after Rahul Gandhi’s revelation, it seems that they had no need to hack EVMs when they had hacked the Election Commission itself. We should have thought about it even when Election Commission Commissioners Arun Goyal and Ashok Lavasa left their jobs. The questions asked about them have not been answered till date.
