Due to summer vacations in schools, great efforts are made during these days to connect children with Gurbani and Sikhism. A similar unique effort was made by Delhi Committee member Bibi Ranjit Kaur at Gurdwara Santgarh and captivated the hearts of the Sangat. She first organized a competition for children and mothers to connect their children with Ura and then through Gurmat Camp at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Santgarh, in which the children presented Shabad Kirtan, poems and a very beautiful play on environment “Balihari Kudratri Vasya Tera Anthu Na Jai Lakhya”. Through this play, the children tried to give the message that why it is important to save the environment from increasing pollution, why more and more trees should be planted. The children had divided their time through poems, 35 Akhri, Kirtan and drama. On this occasion, the children were encouraged by giving prizes and certificates to the women who won the Ura and Ura competitions. On this occasion, the Sangat of the area was repeatedly requesting Bibi Ji to organize such programs as much as possible. Finally, the General Secretary of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee S. Jagdeep Singh Kahlon, Vice President S. Atma Singh Lubana, Interim Member S. Raminder Singh Sweta were presented with a siropao for attending this event and thanked the Sangat of their area and the Management Committee for their cooperation in organizing the program.
