Taking a historic step towards freeing Punjab from the clutches of drugs, Aam Aadmi Party MLA from South constituency Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina today launched an awareness rally against drugs in Ward No. 27, 31 and Ward No. 32 and 35, 33, 34, 36, 37, 38, 39, 43 of South constituency.
The yatra is part of the Aam Aadmi Party government’s ‘Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan’, which aims to make the state drug-free. Under this comprehensive campaign, small meetings will be organized every day in which awareness will be spread about the ill effects of drug abuse and how to prevent it.
MLA Chhina said that the government’s aim is to make the state drug-free.
MLA Chhina said, “This is not just the government’s fight, but every Punjabi’s fight against drugs. We will go to every ward and every village to create awareness among the people, show the direction to the youth and ensure strict punishment to the smugglers.” He said, “It is our resolve to make the southern constituency drug-free. This is not just a campaign but a revolution.
