Senior member of the committee Gurpartap Singh Wadala has made it clear that the SGPC is adopting a policy of confrontation, the order of Sri Akal Takht Sahib is being challenged in the fight for rights. He said that the power of Akal Takht is supreme, it cannot be confined, its rights and scope are global. The Sikh community accepts every order of Sri Akal Takht. In front of this, no ideology of the Gurdwara Act or SGPC has any meaning. He said that the Shiromani Akali Dal is a runaway party which is running away from the orders of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. He appealed to Shiromani Committee President Harjinder Singh Dhami to reconsider his decision of resignation and said that Dhami should lead this seven-member committee.
