Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has condemned Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala for burning the effigies of the Jathedars of Takht Sahibs and making statements against them. He said that the Jathedars of Takhts are highly respected in the Sikh community and anyone should think before making wrong statements against them. It cannot be allowed that anyone disrespects the highest place of the community and the respected personalities of the community. Meanwhile, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, while reacting to the results of the general elections of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, said that these results are a mirror shown by the Sangat to those who are playing into the hands of the governments. He said that the rejection of the office bearers and members of the government committee including S. Baljit Singh Daduwal by the Sangat is a symbol of the fact that the Sikhs of the Guru never tolerate government interference in the management of the Gurdwaras. He said that although the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee is not in favor of a separate Haryana Committee, it is still the responsibility of those elected by the Sangat to be firmly committed to serving in accordance with Sikh principles, Panthic beliefs and the Panthic sentiments of the Gurdwara administration.
