Shiromani Akali Dal Delhi unit chief Sardar Paramjit Singh Sarna has strongly opposed the sale of DSGMC properties to clear the outstanding salaries and gratuity of Guru Harkrishan Public School. The teachers’ lawyer had suggested selling DSGMC-administered lands, including 11 acres in Loni and 280 acres in Bighar, to clear the outstanding. These estates are sacred for the Sikh community and belong only to the Lord of the Universe, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. No one has the right to sell the property of the Guru Ghar.
Holding them responsible for the financial crisis facing the schools, Sarna proposed auctioning the personal properties of DSGMC president Harmeet Singh Kalka, his boss MS Sirsa and the entire executive committee. Sarna pointed out that Pakistan has protected 47,000 acres of Sikh religious properties, stressing that the properties of the DSGMC should also be protected in the same way. Since the current situation has created this crisis due to their mismanagement, which is a great embarrassment for the sect, their personal properties should be auctioned to resolve it. He also demanded action against the executive committee and chairpersons of the GHPS, whose properties should also be seized and sold. Sarna concluded, this will set an example for those who misuse the DSGMC membership for personal gain.
