Khanna. A train blast took place near Sirhind railway station in Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab. 4 passengers were injured in the blast in the general bogie at the rear of the train. The bogie was filled with smoke. There was a lot of noise in the bogie. The speed of the train was slow, so the passengers ran out to save their lives. Some jumped, while others came out through the emergency window. They were admitted to the Civil Hospital of Fatehgarh Sahib. There was panic among the passengers after the blast in the train. The train (train number 13006) was going from Amritsar to Howrah. Railway police and department officials also reached the spot at midnight. During the incident, the train was stopped at Sirhind railway station for about half an hour.
Fireworks kept in the bucket caught fire
GRP DSP Jagmohan Singh reached the spot with his team. He inspected the bogie. Investigation revealed that a passenger was going to his village with firecrackers along with his luggage. The firecrackers were kept in a bucket. Due to an electrical short circuit in the bogie, the firecrackers caught fire and an explosion occurred. Four passengers including the couple were injured in the incident. Their condition is out of danger.
Saw sparks coming out of the wires
Rakesh Pal, a passenger going to Lucknow, said that there was a lot of crowd in the bogie. When the train left Sirhind, sparks came out of the electrical wires and explosions started. When the passengers created a ruckus, the train was stopped. Later it was found out that firecrackers were kept in the bucket. Which caught fire. These passengers were injured in the accident The injured in the accident have been identified as Ashutosh Pal resident of UP, Sonu Kumar resident of Nawada Bazar Bihar and couple Ajay Kumar, Sangeeta Kumari resident of Bhojpur Piru Bihar.
